WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

People upload thousands of links, videos, images about popular brands daily on social media. These may sometimes include copyright infringements that have a negative impact on company revenues.

WHAT IS BROAD COPYRIGHT PROTECTION?

BrandBastion utilizes advanced machine learning technology and image recognition solutions to identify content potentially infringing on their clients’ intellectual property rights. Through working with many of the world’s largest companies during the past years, we have built sophisticated databases of commonly encountered material that includes copyright infringements, which we utilize to identify possible threats. Trained human analysts verify each flagged threat to ensure that the reported content includes a copyright infringement before it is reported for takedown.

HOW IS IT DONE?

The legal team of each client defines which types of content they want taken down. Parties agree upon a volume of content that BrandBastion will process each month by using a number of indicators commonly encountered in infringing content. BrandBastion’s proprietary technology and human analysts process content and provide the client with detailed monthly reports on the processed content and identified infringements.

HOW IS CONTENT FLAGGED FOR TAKE DOWN?

There are two options for this process depending on the client’s preference:

1. BrandBastion provides client’s legal team with a weekly report on content identified for takedown specifying all relevant information in order for takedown to take place. Client’s legal team files takedown claims with social media platform, e.g. YouTube, using BrandBastion’s detailed report.

2. BrandBastion receives proxy from client to be able to file takedown requests on client’s behalf. BrandBastion files takedown requests directly and provide client’s legal team with detailed reporting on what has been done.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

1. For BrandBastion to provide client’s legal team with weekly reports, including content for takedown, pricing depends on the agreed upon volumes of content to be processed per month. The volumes can for example be 5,000 posts/month or 10,000 posts/month. The amount of processed content does not guarantee the amount of content that will be reported for takedown, as not all harmful posts that seem suspicious are suspicious, and each content that has been identified to be in the risk zone is analyzed by a human analyst before being reported as a copyright infringement to ensure 100% accuracy.

2. If BrandBastion handles the entire takedown process from identifying content for takedown to reporting it, an additional fee will be applied for the process of reporting. This fee will correspond to the volumes of content processed per month.
